Heliport E-Commerce

During my last position at Federal Equipment Company, I worked closely with the heliport division. Being the only division focused on commercial sales, as opposed to military contracts, they understood their need for a better web presence.

The first thing I suggested was to ensure all data on the website was up-to-date and that contact information was easy to find on every page. After that was accomplished, we began to explore ways to increase their traffic. A full site redesign was decided to be the best way to move forward but they were curious to get some short term increases as well.

With that goal in mind, we launched two keyword campaigns. Within the first month, the number of monthly visitors had doubled. Within two, the numbers had tripled with a noticeable increase in sales. All of these signs pointed toward an even bigger increase once the new site went live.

This new site is a Drupal based e-commerce site that houses descriptions and images for all available products. While cart and checkout features will initially be disabled, the e-commerce library handles the categorization and price changes functions. Using existing data, I was also able to create a map overlay of all previous heliport projects finished by the division.

While this site is still in the late development stages, I am proud to speak of the rapid development to date as well as the incredible amount of products I have been able to catalog, photograph and touch up.

In the near future, the site will enter an open beta and I welcome you to visit and offer criticism.

let me help you work smarter.
